Chronulus AI is a small team with deep roots. A decade after earning our stripes together at the Federal Reserve Board in D.C., we now collaborate from NYC, Austin, and Denver with the common vision of bringing state-of-the-art time series solutions to every enterprise.
Jeremy Oldfather
Founder
Jeremy Oldfather, the Founder and President of Chronulus AI, brings nearly two decades of expertise in data science, software engineering, and financial economics. His career includes significant contributions to the Amazon Machine Learning Conference and a top-10 economics publication. At Amazon SCOT, he developed improvements to MQTransformer and ported it from MXNet to PyTorch, supporting the production vending of demand predictions for 200+ millions of products. He has also played pivotal roles at AWS ProServe Intelligence, specializing in custom-fit forecasting and dynamic pricing solutions using deep learning techniques. Jeremy's tenure at the Federal Reserve involved developing methods for macroeconomic forecasting and monitoring systemic risk, leading to impactful publications in top finance journals.
Jeremy holds a Master of Science in Mathematics & Statistics from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Mathematics, and Russian Language & Literature from Indiana University. His work is marked by his ability to translate complex business objectives into innovative AI solutions, driving advancements across various industries. At Chronulus AI, Jeremy continues to push the boundaries of artificial intelligence, making significant contributions to the field.
Jay Tian
Engineering
Jay Tian is a core software engineer at Chronulus AI, playing a critical role in accelerating the company’s technological advancements. With extensive experience in AI-driven search services, Jay has a proven track record of leading teams and developing sophisticated backend architectures. At Grata, he leads a team to enhance the AI search service, significantly increasing the platform's win rate. His expertise includes productionizing AI microservices, improving system uptime, and driving data lake architectures using Databricks.
Jay's background spans multiple industries, including e-commerce, energy hedge funds, and financial services. He has implemented machine learning-driven personalization software at Kibo Commerce, developed trading algorithms at Entergrid, and built fulfillment applications at Air Friend. His strong foundation in machine learning, real-time data processing, and cloud technologies, complemented by a Summa Cum Laude BA in Mathematical Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and ongoing MA in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, makes him an invaluable asset to the Chronulus AI team.
Melissa Hamilton
Business & Finance
Melissa Hamilton contributes to the business and financial strategy at Chronulus AI. Melissa is currently the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis at Nulo Pet Food. Before Nulo, she worked as a Vice President of Consumer Retail Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley where she advised various CPG companies on their debt and equity capital market needs as well as their initial public offerings and acquisitions. Notably, Melissa has worked with 1-800 Contacts on their sale to KKR, Bellring Brands on their IPO, Weight Watchers on their marketed follow-on equity offering and Tyson Foods on their $2.2Bn acquisition of Keystone Foods.
Melissa has also spent 7 years in the public sector at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, U.S. Department of Treasury and the Federal Reserve Board where she worked on U.S. financial stability policy work. Notably, Melissa worked on the Basel Committee on Banking Supervisions’ Final Standard on the Prudential Treatment of Cryptoasset Exposures and the designations of AIG, Prudential Financial, General Electric Capital Corporation and MetLife as systemically important financial institutions.
Orginally from upstate New York, Melissa Hamilton has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY and her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is an avid tennis player, skier and hiker. She averaged ~300,000 vertical feet over the last 4 ski seasons and hiked Patagonia, Machu Picchu, and Mount Kilimanjaro.
